The Legionella Management Advisory Group of Queensland, Australia has been an Affiliate organisation linked with the WMSoc since June 2021.  At the core of the affiliate scheme is the goal of sharing information between organisations to develop the knowledge of water and Legionella control within the fragmented Australian territory.  This year we are delighted to formalise this affiliate structure and make that available to other not-for-profit organisations operating outside of the UK and Eire.

The scheme provides access to WMSoc resources for members of the affiliate organisation, and cross pollination of ideas and knowledge in areas such as elevated cold water temperatures could prove invaluable as climate change warms the globe.

This year we have added the possibility for our affiliate organisations to licence WMSoc training courses, under certain conditions, again with a goal of improving knowledge in local territories.  Further details of this scheme will be made available on our website in the coming weeks.  In the meantime we are pleased to announce that the LMAG will be offering the WMSoc Cleaning & Disinfection for Hot and Cold Water Systems course in their territory later this year.  See their website for further information on the organisation and their offering. https://www.lmag.org.au
