Elise Maynard

Elise is an independent consultant to the water and medical devices industries. She has served as Chair and is a Director of the Water Management Society and was awarded Fellowship in recognition of her services to both the Society and the Industry. She is a BSI committee member working on standards such as BS 8680 and BS 8580-2 and was on the steering group for Department of Health HTM 04-01: Safe water in healthcare premises.

Elise is a registered Biomedical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (IBMS), of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM) and also of the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH), where she is also a member of the water special interest group. Elise is a member of the Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) and the Central Sterilising Club (CSC) and has been admitted as a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers. She has presented or chaired at numerous national and international events and has published several peer-reviewed papers. She is an independent adviser for Water Safety Groups and an assessor for the Legionella Control Association.
